She Gets Desperate Sometimes
Lucy crawled over the end of the couch, over Petey who was already snoozing, to get to Glen for some lovin’. I don’t think either dog was comfortable, but neither was about to move from their spot.

I unexpectedly had the opportunity to try caviar. One of the officers I work with gives his zone a large gourmet foodie basket for Christmas. After they have gone through it and taken what they want, communications is allowed to “scavenge” the remains of the basket. One of the operators I work with managed to get her hands on a jar of caviar. None of us had ever tried it….we were skeptical, but adventurous.
I have to say, we were totally redneck in our approach to eating it. I brought cream cheese to the party, but forgot to bring any crackers. So….we went to the vending machine and bought baked Lays potato chips. We tried it, and surprisingly liked it. I was even brave enough to try it plain. It was not as salty as I expected, nor as fishy. If you chew them they do pop, which could potentially gross you out. I wish I had taken a picture of my teeth before I rinsed my mouth, because I had black specks between every single tooth. Classy! Maybe someday I will be able to try the good expensive stuff. Will have to add that to my bucket list 🙂
We have noticed that our Lucy girl likes to lay on pillows. Whether they be throw pillows on the couch or our pillows on the bed, she likes her pillows. So….I decided to give her 3 pillows that were old and deemed worthy of the trash bin. I slapped some really ugly pillow cases on them and bam!….instant happy dog.
Glen: Come on Lucy! Let’s play.
Lucy: Oh boy!!
Petey: Lucy, you are going down.
Lucy: You can’t keep up with me old man.
Yesterday it was Glen’s turn to play in the snow.
Glens toy of choice…..his dirt bike….with snow tires of course.
Off he goes….
…. And he immediately located the garden hose that was buried in the snow. I am sure there was a bad word or two mumbled as he untangled the hose from the back tire.
The snow is really deep, so he didn’t ride for too long, but I was able to get this nice action shot.
Lucy: This bird food is delicious! I don’t understand why those dumb birds would throw all this on the floor….but I am glad they did.
This video was taken by Glen last Friday after our first snow storm. Lucy and Petey had a good time playing. Petey is such a vocal boy and sounds so serious with all his growling and barking. Petey is also a butt biter….as you can see towards the end of the video.
As I have posted, last Thursday we got a butt load of snow. I, unfortunately, had to go to work, so the pictures here were taken by Glen. Also, we were “babysitting” Glen’s moms dog Tippy.
Don’t think that Glen was being mean to Tippy. Tippy is just a weird dog that loves bad snowy weather. Yes…..he is actually enjoying this.
After the storm, when the snow was unmolested. It is at its prettiest here. Picture doesn’t do it justice.
I think yesterday I said we got 13 inches of snow. Well, I was wrong…..we actually got 15. Should be interesting to see how much more we get with the storm that is currently upon us. Weatherman says we could get up to 20 inches. Stay tuned.
Last Thursday we had quite the snow storm. It even included lightning and thunder, much to the dogs distress. We were supposed to only get up to 6 inches of the white stuff. Ended up getting 13 inches here at the house.
Lilly: I can’t believe mom drove to work in this crap!
But, as the title of this post suggests…..we are about to get slammed again. It is supposed to hit a couple of hours before I am due to drive home from work. I will once again be driving in this crap. We are supposed to get somewhere between 8 and 15 inches….but this time I don’t mind. I am off on Tuesday. Yay!!! \o/
This map is from http://www.kshb.com….and it was from last night. As of this morning they are now calling for 12 to 16 plus inches where I live. Unbelievable!
