Fall Colors
My husband was playing with the new camera and attached it to his spotting scope. This is one of the pictures he took. It is quite beautiful, I think.

The weather has been so wonderful lately that we have really been enjoying our outside time.

Webworms sound gross, and they kind of are. We get them every year in the trees. Thankfully, this year, we don’t have them as bad as they do in southern Missouri. I went to visit a friend in Ash Grove and the worms were falling out of the trees. I ended up with one falling down the back of my shirt. Did a nice dance until I got it out.

You can’t see them in this picture, but this is a web they have woven in one of our persimmon trees.
My wonderful husband surprised me with a new camera. He got me a Nikon D7200. It has a lot of bells and whistles that are over my head. So I will be posting a bunch of pictures as I try to get acquainted with my new toy. Here is my first sampling.

Ok, so we are back to the vacation pictures. Glen and I decided to hike an easier trail, so we decided on the Icicle Gorge Trail. It is rated at a whopping 2 out of 5 on difficulty.

As you can see the tail was so much smoother and easier to hike.

The layers in the rock were simply amazing.

Since the hiking was nice and easy we could enjoy the views.

Glen decided to check and see how cold the water was. He said it was cold but felt really good. I am anti-cold water, so I did not soak my feet.

Again, fantastic views.

Another selfie 🙂

I am going to interrupt my vacation pictures because last night I went and saw Tom Jones in concert. Make fun if you will, but I love me some Tom Jones! He was absolutely incredible. The other thing that was so incredible were our seats. We sat in the second row back from the stage. Never in my concert going life have I ever been so close to the stage. At 76 years of age, he still looks damn good!!
