Lucy had to go to the vet to have her teeth checked out. I knew of at least one broken tooth. Turns out she had three broken teeth that had to be removed. Poor girl, I felt so bad for her. Had to put towels under her because she was drooling some blood.
Yeah, that’s right, day freaking 9. No work could be done when the weather wouldn’t cooperate. Yesterday a lot of work was accomplished, and hoping tomorrow they get completely done since it is going to rain again.
I had to take Lucy to the vet to get some teeth extracted so I got home at lunch time.
Lunch is now over…..get back to work please.

The birds get to watch all this work going on….they basically have a front row seat. I heard one of the workers making a cooing noise like a dove which made Lila scream. Then I heard laughter erupt outside. I think that each time they make my evil bird scream we should get a discount off the work….sounds like a good deal. 🙂
Lilly: I’m not playing with Glen’s shoestring….It only appears that I am.
Lilly: Ok, nevermind. I am totally going to annihilate this shoestring!
Lilly: You can quit taking my picture now….you’re killing my good time.
Lucy doesn’t have floppy ears…..but she doesn’t have ears that stand up all the way either.
Well, day 1 went without a hitch. It was sunny and 70 degrees Monday. Days 2 and 3….well they didn’t get any work done. Tuesday it rained all day and Wednesday the temps plummeted and it snowed. Today is day 4. The holes they dug are all full of icy water. The workers aren’t here yet, so am guessing today is a bust as well. Kind of a bummer because the dogs have tracked in so much mud. My kitchen floor is completely covered with muddy paw prints….so gross and it is driving me nuts.
Unfortunately the front of our house has settled, and we are having to have piers installed….in other words the house is getting all jacked up. This is day 1.

Glen and I decided to get another dog. I know a lot of folks like to have purebred dogs, but there is nothing better than rescuing a mutt in desperate need of a forever home. We decided to go with The Animal Rescue Alliance (TARA) out of Kansas City. Last night we went to meet one of their dogs named Daisy Lou. She was a sweet heart, but we didn’t feel that she would be a good fit, so they let us meet Faith. Faith turned out to be the right dog for us.
This was taken right before we left to bring Faith home. That is Faith on the right. We are aren’t taken with her name and have decided to rename her Lucy.
Lilly: I must figure out how to get those delectable birdies on the other side of this window.
Like Mother Teresa, only better.
