Glen wanted/needed to get a new bed. We went to a mattress store so we could check out the differences in all the mattresses. In the end we both thought the Serta Icomfort was the mattress for us. Like I mentioned yesterday, I went to his house to let the delivery guys in, set the bed up and take the old mattress away. After I got the bed all nice and made, and I was all nice and full from lunch, I decided a nap was in order so I could test out the new mattress. Petey agreed….and he gives the new mattress two paws up. I too had a great nap.
Here is the bed right after the delivery guys got it set up.
Long story short, Glen’s mom is in the hospital so he has her dog Tippy. Petey and I went to Glens yesterday to let delivery guys in with our new bed (more on that later). I was concerned that the dogs would misbehave and I would be there by myself with dogs acting stupid. However, I was pleasantly surprised. Tippy was happy for the company, happy to be let outside for a potty break, and didn’t nip at Petey once. Petey didn’t display any aggression in a bid for dominance. All was well in the dog world.
I think Tippy may even be smiling in this picture.
After finally getting a good quality rain, it appears that crawdad’s made a reappearance. Glen and I were thinking some raccoons had themselves a nice feast, as all that was left were some claws and legs.
A couple of weeks ago Glen smashed his index finger at work. He was hoping he wouldn’t lose the nail…..he got part of his wish. So far he has only lost the bottom half of his nail. Hurts just looking at it, doesn’t it?
One of Eva’s favorite things is to crawl under things, especially blankets. Here she is under Lila’s cage cover.
As we were getting things ready for our garage sale this weekend we found reindeer antlers and couldn’t resist putting them on Petey. He looks pretty disgusted with us.
Saw this snake down on the Mopac trail while walking Petey. It was out getting warm on the gravel, and was no bigger than an earthworm.
Like Mother Teresa, only better.
