The first set of plants that we planted didn’t fare so well. This is round two and everything looks to be growing well. Glen and I try to go out and check on the plants daily. I even go so far as to sweet talk the plants. Hey….every little bit helps, right?
These are some of our peppers.
Zucchini…
Spaghetti Squash…am hoping this plant does well. I love spaghetti squash!
Some of our many tomato plants. We finally got some rain, but with that rain came cooler temperatures. Notice the many, many mushrooms/toadstools growing all over the place. Hoping all of our tomato plants do exceptional as well. There aren’t many foods that I love more than a home grown tomato. Plus, I am looking forward to canning.
All of us grand-kids called my grandmother Mo. She was an incredible lady. Her favorite flower was the iris, so every time I see one I think of her and smile.
There is a farmer on my way to work that periodically creates art out of hay bales. Here they have created a minion from Despicable Me.
My good friend Vickie came over this last Saturday and we ended up hunting for morel mushrooms. It was a glorious sunny, warm day, perfect for ‘shroom hunting. The only drawback to hunting for morels is you have to crawl through the woods to find them. Since it has warmed up so nicely the ticks were out in full force. I ended up with about 10 ticks on me.
This is Vickie and one of the first mushrooms that was found.
The morels were growing really big and looking oh, so delicious.
See what I mean by big?
Vickie got a nice haul of mushrooms.
