Yesterday I had to go to my eye exam. I hate doing this, more than going to the dentist! The part that really freaks me out is the glaucoma test. It is just evil! Glen thought my dilated eyes were pretty funny. He said I looked like the cat when she is getting ready to pounce on something. I thought it was weird how my right pupil dilated more than the left one.
I have decided to start drinking smoothies for breakfast.
I have been mixing fruit, spinach, almond milk, protein powder and chia seeds. I had very low expectations, but was delightfully surprised with how good they taste.
After plowing the snow out of the driveway, Glen played with the dogs. Things went well at first….
Then Lucy decided to get all aggressive with Petey….
So Glen had to put her in her place and get her settled down with a nice cold snow bath.
Yesterday was the start of really yucky weather. We got snow and gusting winds causing the snow to drift. Today we have temperatures in the negatives. Yee haw! Thankfully, we have a very healthy oak tree in our yard to supply the squirrels with acorns.
Glen and I enjoying a nice lazy day…..with Eva. She started out with Glen, hammering her beak onto his knee. Then she decided that being with me was a better idea.
Glen and I keep seeing online how kitties just love cardboard boxes. Our cat, Lilly, is the exception to the rule. So Glen put a blanket in a box to tempt her…..
Lilly: I can’t believe you put my blanket inside the box….and that you expect me to go in there!
Lilly: Everything smells ok….maybe I should check out the inside of the box to make sure my blanket is ok.
Lilly: The blanket seems to be in good working order….maybe I should snuggle up on it.
Lilly: This was a good idea.
This year Santa brought our dogs new beds. With Petey getting on in years I decided he needed to be as comfortable as possible. So, new comfy beds for both of them……since they refuse to share.
Lucy: This is fluffy wonderfulness!
Lilly: Yes, this bed will do. The dimensions are awesome and it has a zipper for the bored hounds to chew on.
ps….We could not convince Petey to give the beds a test run. He flat out refused the photo op. He didn’t hesitate when it was his actual bed time though.
Like Mother Teresa, only better.
