Nightly Event
Every night James and Taffy play….and they play really rough. Thankfully the display of teeth is all in fun and no one gets hurt.

I let the dogs outside after a long day cooped up on the house due to the heat. It only took them a couple of minutes to get into mischief. They were barking like crazy so I went out to see what all the fuss was about.

Thankfully it was just a good sized black snake and not a copperhead.
As I was walking down the hallway yesterday, I was greeted with this. These two are giving me their best innocent looks.

Our foster dog, Taffy, learned a new trick. She is able to jump/climb over our chain link fence.

Does this look like the face of a dog that would do such a thing? She jumped the fence as I watched her bound through our neighbors pasture like a freaking gazelle.

Here she is looking pensive. Thoughts of running through lush grasses and wading through murky, stinky ponds.
It has been decided that our newest foster dog’s name will be Taffy. As you can see she is a beautiful girl.

Saturday we went and picked up our newest foster. She was found abandoned with her seven puppies. Her pups are old enough that they went to separate foster homes. As of yet, we are still trying to come up with a good name for her.
Last night our foster dog, Lola, was adopted!

I think she really hit the jackpot with this family. Don’t you just love happy endings?
Saturday Lola and I attended an adoption event in Belton, Mo at the Petsmart. She always gets very nervous at these events and after about an hour turns her back on everyone in an attempt to hide. However, on this fine day, there was a nice young couple that came in anticipating a meet and greet with another foster dog. Well, as it turned out, the other foster dog was not able to attend. Lola summoned up her courage and showed them what a great dog she is. Hopefully we will hear from them sometime this week.

This winter has been so warm. Yesterday it got up to 60 degrees. I happened to have the day off, so Lucy and I decided we needed to take advantage of the warm weather.

We weren’t the only ones that thought it was a good day to be out and about.

Like Mother Teresa, only better.
