Air Show – Part Two
Well, I was out at Whiteman Air Force Base again today and it was so freaking boring. What a long day! The crowd was very small, estimated count was 3,000. Also disappointing, no one came dressed up as anything extraordinary. I will say that I slept very well last night so I at least felt better. Yesterday I was so very tired, which does not help my lack of gracefulness. As I was walking to the command bus yesterday I walked right into a ginormous trash bin and received a lovely bruise for my efforts. Luckily it is above my sleeve line so no one was the wiser.
I did sneak in a picture of some of the military folks that I was working with.
The main attraction at the air show was The Golden Knights Parachute Team. I don’t think they performed yesterday due to the high winds that we had, (or I didn’t see them because I was practically the walking dead yesterday). Anyway, this was the best shot I was able to get.
This is a picture of the space shuttle……it is a bounce house….and it is the biggest one I have ever seen!
I have no idea what kind of helicopter this is, but I thought it was cool. They all look like angry insects to me.
Last, but not least, I did get a picture of the B2, but not in flight. I think it looks like a plane Batman would fly.
As fun as it was, I am glad to be home for the evening. I am ready to chill out and have a nice glass of wine.
