Holy Honey Mess

Glen and I ordered a mead kit.  If you have never had mead, you should try it.  It is very yummy.  Anyway, we got the kit ordered and we were anxiously waiting for it to arrive.  The kit was delivered by UPS and we were very excited.  Then we opened the box……and the 12 gallon jug of honey had come open during shipment.  Can you say, Oh Holy Sticky Mess!

I called Norther Brewer and they told us we could salvage what we could from what we had, but that they would ship us a new 12 gallon jug of honey.  Prayers this one arrives with the lid on.

Hi Beth, mead is soooo good! I’ve been wanting to make some too. If you need a good local homebrew store, my friend Jeremy owns one in Independence. He is getting ready to move into his new store on Noland Rd. His website is apexbrewwares.com

Hey Eric! We are going to be making a semi sweet mead. Of course, we have to get the second batch of honey first. It was an ungodly sticky mess when we opened the shipping box!! I will definitely check out your friends website. Does he sell more than beer brewing supplies? Would be great to buy local.
