Last nights sunset was phenomenal.

Eva:  So sparkly and shiny…..I want to chew on them!

Digging for a Good Time

Lila usually doesn’t like to come out of her cage, but when she does she thoroughly enjoys digging behind the couch pillows.

Image

Lila:  Did you put this wonderful pillow here just for me?

Image

Digging, digging, digging…..She periodically comes out from behind the pillow ready to bite just to make sure nothing is sneaking up on her.

So Cold

All Lucy really thinks about is going outside to bark at anything that moves.  However, it has been so cold out she doesn’t venture far from the front door.

Image

Lucy:  I don’t see anything to the left of the property.

Image

Lucy:  Nope, nothing to the right.

Image

Lucy:  Hey, I’ve changed my mind…..let me back in!

It Snowed

Image

We got our first snow of the season.  What you see is about all we got, thankfully.   The worst part of this is how freaking cold it was.

Image

Needless to say Petey snuggled with me under a nice warm blanket.

Image

Lilly had to settle for Glens lap after Petey forced her out from under the nice warm blanket.

Image

Lucy never wants blankets….just pillows.

An Occasion to Dress Up

Glen and I had the occasion to actually dress up.  We went to a friends/co-workers wedding Saturday night.  We always wear blue jeans everywhere…..so this was an occasion!

Winter has Arrived

A winter storm moved through Missouri yesterday.  Thankfully, it hit south of where I live.  What we didn’t get in precipitation, we got in super cold temperatures.

Lucy is warming up her feet after being outside.

The Squirrel and the acorn

Image

Squirrel:  Sniff, sniff….this acorn has an amazing bouquet!

Image

Squirrel:  nom nom nom nom

Image

Squirrel:   Time out….darned fleas!

Image

Squirrel:  Time to scout out another delicious acorn,

Image

Squirrel:  Hhhmmmm, is this a piece of gravel or an acorn?

Buckskin or Dun?

I don’t know anything about horses other than I think they are exquisite looking.  This is one of our neighbors horses.  Since I know nothing I went straight to the internet to try to find out what kind of horse this is.  I don’t know if it is a Dun or a Buckskin.  Either way it is good looking.

A Note From Abroad

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sailaway from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” ~ Mark Twain
