This is Wayne
Our newest foster dog’s name is Wayne. I’m not sure who comes up with these names, but Wayne is just a weird dog’s name. The vet thinks he is about 10 years old and he has some health and mental issues. His health issues I mentioned in a previous post. As for the mental issues, he has separation anxiety. I have had no experience with a dog that didn’t behave well when left alone. However, Wayne is learning how to enjoy being an inside dog and accept love and affection.

The hardest part about adopting an older dog is knowing how few years you have left to love him. The most rewarding part is the *grateful* that streams from their eyes knowing that life has never been as good.
It takes a big heart to love a 4-footed companion destined to be with you only a short time

I think Wayne’s life before was very hard. When he first came to us he had a very scared and worried look. Now he looks happy and has started asking for affection. Thankfully, there are people that enjoy older critters and want to give them the best possible life for their remaining years. It is rewarding for both the dogs and the humans 🙂
