She Did it Again….
Our dog, Lucy, takes her job of defending her yard very seriously.
She caught this possum Saturday night. Of the three that she has caught all have lived and that is only because they play dead. This one was pretty small. We brought Lucy in the house to give this little one time to make its getaway.
Big Love
We have encountered this large furry beast on our walks before and he was always very skittish. This last weekend that all changed. He finally let us get close and we were able to pet him. He was so happy to see us that we were showered with slobbery kisses and an invitation to rub his belly. This makes our walks even sweeter in anticipation of seeing our newest friend.
Bitten
Lucy got too close to this snapping turtle when it lunged at her and bit/grazed her nose. It wasn’t bad….just broke the skin and bled a little bit. Hopefully she will think twice before going in to sniff a turtle in the future.
Tummy Aches
Poor old Petey has been having tummy aches a lot lately. Ended up taking him to the vet where I spent a bunch of money to find out everything was good and to just give him pepto. I was relieved to hear the vet say his blood work was normal. Matter of fact his blood work was so good the vet was shocked that it belonged to a 14/15 year old dog.
Tormentor
Lilly: I’m on the sofa with you Lucy. Whatcha gonna do about it?
Lucy: I shouldn’t have to put up with this kind of torment!
