Digging for a Good Time

Lila usually doesn’t like to come out of her cage, but when she does she thoroughly enjoys digging behind the couch pillows.

Image

Lila:  Did you put this wonderful pillow here just for me?

Image

Digging, digging, digging…..She periodically comes out from behind the pillow ready to bite just to make sure nothing is sneaking up on her.

So Cold

All Lucy really thinks about is going outside to bark at anything that moves.  However, it has been so cold out she doesn’t venture far from the front door.

Lucy:  I don’t see anything to the left of the property.

Image

Lucy:  Nope, nothing to the right.

Image

Lucy:  Hey, I’ve changed my mind…..let me back in!

It Snowed

Image

We got our first snow of the season.  What you see is about all we got, thankfully.   The worst part of this is how freaking cold it was.

Image

Needless to say Petey snuggled with me under a nice warm blanket.

Image

Lilly had to settle for Glens lap after Petey forced her out from under the nice warm blanket.

Lucy never wants blankets….just pillows.

Winter has Arrived

A winter storm moved through Missouri yesterday.  Thankfully, it hit south of where I live.  What we didn’t get in precipitation, we got in super cold temperatures.

Lucy is warming up her feet after being outside.

Petey Posing Post Turkey

Hope everyone had a fantastic Thanksgiving.  We had dinner at our house this year….good food and good company.  Petey, being the old dog that he is, slept through most of the day.

Playing Cat and Mouse

We have had a few field mice making their way in to our house.  Not sure if their entry so early in the fall season is a harbinger of horrible winter weather to come, or we need to really reassess pest proofing the house…..or both.  Lilly has been on high alert but has met with little success.

Image

Lilly:  I know that stupid mouse ran under the night stand!

Image

Mouse:  Stupid cat will never find me under here!

ps…..I was not too happy that Lilly ran to our bedroom with the mouse in her mouth and then proceeded to let it go.  Glen lifted the night stand and the mouse took off and ran straight to Lilly.  Lilly then proceed to chase it under our bed before the mouse made its great escape to our closet.  Lilly sat outside our closet for a lllloooonnnngggg time waiting for the mouse to come back out and play.  It did, but she again was unable to catch it after it ran into the laundry room and escaped down a drain.

pps…..After reviewing the pictures, we really need to move furniture more often when we vacuum.

Wink – Right Back Atcha

I love it when my pets wink at me.

New Fuzzy Blanket

While at Costco the other day, Glen and I bought a new blanket for our bed.  After washing it and putting it on the bed, we knew exactly where to find Lilly.
