Sunning itself

Image

This dragonfly, along with several others, was perched on our roof sunning itself.  It has a larger body that I am used to seeing on dragonflies.

Not Brave Enough to Eat it

Image

Found this fungus growing on my neighbors tree.  I think it looks like mutated candy corn.  After consulting the all knowledgeable google, I think this is chicken of the woods, which means it is edible.  However, I am not brave enough to eat it.

Bunches of Berries

I grew up calling these bugs roly-poly’s.  They are also commonly known as pill bugs or pill millipedes. It is one of the few bugs that I am not scared of.  I found this one cruising around in our garden.

A Note From Abroad

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sailaway from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” ~ Mark Twain
