Reward

I had to work the last 7 days on the overnight shift.  Needless to say, it was a very stressful week.  This morning I was rewarded with a beautiful sunrise.

Weird Weather

This winter has been so warm.  Yesterday it got up to 60 degrees.  I happened to have the day off, so Lucy and I decided we needed to take advantage of the warm weather.

We weren’t the only ones that thought it was a good day to be out and about.

Red Tail Hawk

One rainy day last week, I happened to catch sight of a red tail hawk catching food at the end of our driveway.  DSC03697-2

Searching

The weather has been getting colder so the squirrels have been extra busy trying to find food.  They take advantage and stock up on acorns while the dogs are in the house.

Pictures while sitting in a tree

Last Saturday was the opening weekend of rifle deer season.  My husband goes every year and thankfully filled his two tags on the first day.  However, while waiting for the deer to make their appearance he took a couple of pictures.

Hiding in Plain Sight

We went to Glen’s mothers house yesterday evening and this fella was sitting on her front porch light.  Guess he was waiting for night to fall so he could partake in bugstravaganza.

Bracket Fungus

This is a type of bracket fungus, not sure which as there are many.  Located this one while out searching for our dog James who, again, managed to get loose and run off.

Daddy Longlegs

Yesterday was just not a good day.  Our dog, James, got loose again and was missing for almost 5 hours.  Then while I was out looking for the dog, my cat, Sadie, managed to open the storm door and got loose.  She took off like the devil was after her when she saw me.  She still hasn’t reappeared.  Anyway….while I was out looking for the wayward dog I came across this fella.  It is a daddy longlegs spider, who was gracious enough to pose for me.

A Note From Abroad

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sailaway from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” ~ Mark Twain
