Late Night Visitor
I am amazed this little toad didn’t get squished by Lucy when she came thundering up to the front door to be let back in the house.

Petey: I love lap time!
Lucy: Make room for me….I love lap time too!
Poor Glen, squished by love.
One must rest up adequately to enjoy the weekend.
After sufficiently resting, one must get cleaned up for any fun activities, like catching a mouse, chasing the dogs or playing with the kitty fishing pole.
Then you make sure to look as awesome and cool as possible.
This summer has been unusual. Unusual in that we have not had any days over 100 degrees and we have had rain in late July into August. Not that I am complaining, it is just that this time of year it is usually very hot and dry. With all the recent rains, it has been very muggy though. Perfect conditions for fungus. Glen took these pictures the other day. It was a good thing he did, because they were gone by late afternoon when I got home from work. They are so delicate looking, I am amazed that they are able to support themselves. I also love, love, love the droplets of water on the blades of grass.
Last Friday was Glen’s 40th birthday. We played it pretty low key. We went to his moms house and ate lasagna until we thought we would pop. The downer was he bought a nice stout beer for himself but was too full to drink any of it. However, he was able to enjoy it Saturday evening….a good way to prolong your birthday.
I did sample the beer, and it was pretty tasty. However, I stuck with the wine. I enjoyed a nice glass of Malbec.
I got these shots the other day. I have no idea what kind of bird this is. Is it a type of sparrow?
