Getting Along

Lucy is finally getting along with James and is actually playing.  About 20 seconds into the video my bird Lila decided to add a telephone ring for your listening pleasure.

Getting Cozy

Our new kitty, Sadie, loves our Lucy girl.

Greedy Guts

DSC02890-2

This morning when I got up I discovered that Lucy had helped herself to a bag of dog treats and a Costco sized bag of Craisins that had been sitting on the counter.  Thankfully she only ate a small portion of the craisins, but she ate enough to concern me about digestive issues.  That sweet face doesn’t look like it would do something bad does it?

We are now foster parents….sort of

We made the decision to help The Animal Rescue Alliance, (http://www.tarasdream.org/), by fostering dogs.  Yesterday I went and picked up a small Rottweiler mix named James.  He is about 2 years old and full of what seems to be endless energy.  Hopefully he will find his forever home for the holidays.  He is a sweet boy and deserves it.

Rainy Days and Mondays

It rained buckets here all day yesterday.  What to do when you can’t go outside?  Take a long nap of course.

Lucy has a few ideas

It’s a rare thing, but Glen and I finally have a day off together.  Lucy has suggested that we take it easy,  go for a nice long walk and maybe take a nap.  I think those are all fine suggestions.

Relaxing…..at least trying to

Lucy and Glen relaxing and watching some tv.

Pleased to make your acquaintance

Crooked

It was a nice warm afternoon and Petey was feeling kind of sleepy.

He had a hard time stifling a yawn.  It wasn’t until after I took the picture that I realized his tongue was crooked.

The Great Easter Mouse Hunt

This post really isn’t for the faint of heart.  I will just say up front…..the mouse didn’t make it.  This all happened while I was at work and Glen was home with the “kids”.  He said he heard a squeak, went to investigate and found this…..

Image

Out little chubby kitty had caught herself a mouse.  However, being a cat, she likes to play with her prey and did the typical catch and release so she could chase it some more.  The only bad thing with this is, the mouse always out maneuvers her and manages to get away.  So Glen, being a good team coach, took Lilly out of the game and put Lucy in.

Image

Lucy caught the mouse and refused to let it go, so Glen let her outside with it.  Bye, bye mouse.
