Special Christmas Gift
Glen and I, after much deliberation, decided to give Taffy the ultimate Christmas gift. We gave Taffy the gift of adoption. So naturally I had to dress her up for the occasion.
Tippy wanted in on the dress up action too.

Relaxing Evening by the Fire
Since I had to work over the Christmas holiday, Glen and I celebrated our holiday on New Years Eve. We did our annual lighting of the fireplace and cooked up and enjoyed a wonderful dinner. Sadie discovered the joys of relaxing by the fire.
Secret Santa
We do secret Santa at work and this year my secret Santa gave me a very well dressed bottle of pinot noir. Whoever it is knows me well! I think I will be enjoying a nice glass of vino next weekend 🙂
Annual Girls Day Out
My friends, Ila, Vickie and I had our annual Christmas girls day out yesterday. We went down to the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City. We decided to eat at the restaurant Zocalo. The food was very tasty and the adult beverage that I ordered was call a gin blossom and it was fantastic!
We had our waitress take our picture, which as you can see didn’t turn out that great.
We had a great time. Wish we could manage to spend more time together.

Tradition
Yesterday my good friends and I went out to do our Christmas girls day out. We always try to go to a restaurant that we have never been to. This year we went to O’Dowd’s Little Dublin down on the Country Club Plaza in Kansas City. We got there and ordered an appetizer of spinach artichoke dip and a round of beer.
Ila and Vickie opted for a nice lite Irish Lager.
I, on the other hand, ordered a nice thick stout.
The atmosphere was nice and inviting.
I ordered the grilled salmon boxty. It was so tasty! The salmon was grilled perfectly, and the mashed potatoes…..well, I can never say anything bad about mashed potatoes!
Our waitress wasn’t as personable as we are used to. We usually have the wait staff in the picture with us, however this year we were just glad she was willing to take our picture.
